Coillte scholarship deadline approaching

With the CAO Change of Mind deadline approaching, so too is the last date to apply for Coillte’s Forestry Scholarship Programme on Monday, July 6.

The scholarship offers up to €20,000 in financial support over the course of a forestry degree, alongside opportunities for paid summer placements and potential future career opportunities with Coillte. The programme has seen strong growth in demand, with applications increasing by 25 per cent in the past year.

“Forestry offers students the opportunity to build a meaningful career in a sector that is central to climate action, biodiversity, sustainable timber supply and rural development,” said Mark Carlin, Managing Director at Coillte Forest.

“We are encouraging anyone considering forestry as a study or career path to take this final opportunity to apply. Through the Coillte Forestry Scholarship Programme, students can access financial support, practical experience and exposure to future career opportunities,” Carlin added.

Developed in response to Ireland’s growing need for skilled forestry professionals, Coillte’s Forestry Scholarship Programme supports students enrolling in full-time undergraduate forestry degrees at University College Dublin (UCD ) or South East Technological University (SETU ) from September 2026.
