50 brave participants will abseil 150 feet from Croke Park on Friday June 12 in aid of Cancer Care West.
Cancer Care West is delighted to announce the support of Corofin and Galway GAA star Gary Sice for its upcoming Big C Drop fundraising event. On Friday, June 12, fifty fundraisers will take on the exhilarating challenge of abseiling 150 feet from the iconic stands of Croke Park in Dublin to raise vital funds for free cancer support services in Galway.
“I can see all the work that Cancer Care West does in Galway and it is vital that the people of Galway support events like this to ensure that those supports are available to the people who need them. It is amazing that Cancer Care West does not charge for any of their services — events like the Big C Drop make a huge difference in maintaining that. If you want to take part and do something meaningful, sign up on the Cancer Care West website,” said Gary Sice, Corofin and Galway GAA star.
Cancer Care West provides free, professional cancer support services to patients and their families in Galway. All services — including counselling, therapeutic supports, and practical assistance — are provided entirely free of charge, making fundraising events like the Big C Drop essential to the charity’s continued operation.
Participants are asked to raise a minimum of €500 in sponsorship. Places are limited and filling fast. To register or for more information, visit www.cancercarewest.ie
