GRCC continues successful QR sticker campaign ahead of busy summer season

Galway Rape Crisis Centre (GRCC ) staff are once again out and about across Galway city as part of their highly successful QR sticker campaign, helping ensure both locals and visitors can easily access information on vital support services during the busy summer season.

Over the coming weeks, GRCC will be visiting businesses throughout the city to place discreet, scannable QR stickers in restroom facilities and other suitable locations. By scanning the code, members of the public can quickly access information about the services provided by GRCC, including details of its Freephone helpline and supports available to survivors of sexual violence.

The initiative is a collaborative project with We-Consent, a national campaign dedicated to promoting understanding, awareness and conversations around consent across Ireland. The QR code also provides access to information and resources connected to the wider We-Consent campaign.

The campaign has already received an overwhelmingly positive response from businesses and the wider community, with many eager to support an initiative that promotes safety, awareness and access to information in a simple but effective way.

With Galway preparing for another vibrant and busy summer, GRCC says the campaign is an important way of reaching people and ensuring support services remain visible and accessible to all.
