Galway Technical Institute proudly presents UNFOLD, an exhibition showcasing the work of the 2025–26 QQI Level 5 Art students.

This annual exhibition highlights the culmination of a year of creative development, experimentation, and critical thinking, as students bring their ideas to life through a variety of visual practices.

Students from GTI’s QQI Level 5 Art Portfolio Preparation course develop the practical skills, creative confidence, and conceptual awareness required to progress to third-level education in art and design, both in Ireland and internationally.

The opening reception for UNFOLD will take place at 6pm on Thursday, May 14, in GTI’s Main Building, Room 5. It will feature guest speaker Michelle Smyth, Art Teacher at Claddagh National School. The exhibition will be open to visitors following the launch.

GTI continues to maintain a strong reputation for excellence in creative education, with its Art Portfolio Preparation course consistently supporting high progression rates into leading art and design colleges. Students benefit from a dynamic and supportive learning environment that encourages experimentation across disciplines including drawing, painting, and three-dimensional sculpture.

GTI invites you to attend the opening evening on Thursday, May 14 at 6pm to celebrate the achievements of this year’s emerging artists.
