The Opacas will perform a special send-off gig in Monroe’s on Mayday before following in the footsteps of The Beatles by playing Liverpool’s iconic Cavern Club.
This special hometown show will mark the release of The Opacas' new single ‘Take Down’, available on Spotify on the same day.
Recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, ‘Take Down’ captures the retro rock band’s signature blend of melodic hooks, classic guitar tones and tongue-in-cheek energy that has become their trademark.
The track is the latest release from their upcoming second album, Cheaper Than Therapy.
This Monroe’s gig also serves as a milestone moment for the band, which is set to perform at the The Cavern Club in the coming weeks - following in the footsteps of some of music’s greatest names.
With that landmark Liverpool appearance on the horizon, this may be one of the last chances for Galway audiences to catch The Opacas live before they head across the water.
Support on the night comes from The DogsBol Ukes, whose members feature in the Galway Ukulele Festival. Their appearance promises to bring plenty of colour, fun and vibrancy to an already lively evening of entertainment.
Expect a high-energy set packed with original songs, new releases, big hooks and the unmistakable live spirit that has made The Opacas a favourite with local audiences.
Tickets €13.20 from www.Monroes.ie
