Gaza hike night music at Rowing Club

A special evening of music and community solidarity will take place at The Rowing Club in Woodquay, on Saturday, May 2, to raise awareness for a fund-raising hike for displaced Gazans.

A 30-strong group of Galwegians is preparing to undertake a 35km pilgrimage along St Kevin’s Way in Wicklow in July to raise funds for families affected by the catastrophic crisis in Gaza.

The fundraiser will support Gaza Go Bragh, an Irish-Palestinian grassroots initiative delivering essential humanitarian aid. Funds will go towards Campa na Saoirse (Camp of Freedom ), which is currently supporting 40 families displaced by conflict. It provides food, safe drinking water, education, basic healthcare, clothing, and toys for children.

The evening will feature live performances from Áine Tyrrell, Padraig Jack, James Lohan, Sailhymn, The Tav Jam Band, The Gaza Tones, and Luan & Eva Carroll, with Luan launching his new single ‘Road to Palestine’ on the night. A keynote contribution will also be given by Audrey Kissane of The Clear Lens Podcast.

Tickets are available through Pilgrims for Palestine social media pages or through the link below and the public is warmly invited to attend and show their support.
