Ceolaireacht returns to TG4 for a fourth season, presented by renowned fiddle player, singer and broadcaster Doireann Ní Ghlacáin.

In this new series, Doireann travels to East Galway, exploring vibrant traditional music scenes in that part of the county.

Among those featured in the Galway episode, which goes out on TG4 on Sunday, March 16, at 9.30pm, are Claire and Breda Keville, along with Páraic Mac Donncha, Conor Connolly, Seán Moloney, Eoin O’Neill and Claire Egan, as well as Máirín Fahy with Patsy Broderick, all musicians who reflect the deep influence of older generations, and a calm musical current that still flows through the rural heart of this region.

Directed by Feilimí O’Connor and produced by Pax Ó Faoláin, with Niamh Ní Bhaoill as executive producer, Ceolaireacht aims to offer a fresh perspective on traditional Irish music, rooted in community, shaped by place and sustained by a new generation.
