Donegal cowboy film in college

The University of Galway’s theatre department will screen Texas Ollie today, Thursday, February 19, at 1pm.

The feature documentary film tells the true story of Ollie Hepburn, better known as ‘Texas Ollie’, and a chance encounter that transported him from watching cowboy movies in 1950s Donegal, to working in dude ranches in America, and performing at equestrian showcases across the world.

Directed by Emmet Harte, the film traces Hepburn’s career, and his relationship with his horse Silver, to his current life living on ranch in Glenties.

Tickets free on Eventbrite for a 1pm screening in O’Donoghue Theatre
