Storytelling festival this weekend

The Moth and Butterfly International Festival of Storytelling and Improvisation will launch its 15th annual season this evening, Thursday, January 28, in the Blue Note pub at 5.30pm.

This year’s theme is ‘Turning Tides’ and more than a dozen events are scheduled over the weekend until Sunday, February 1.

A special children’s storytelling event is scheduled for this Saturday in Charlie Byrne’s bookshop, and outside the city there are improvisation and storytelling workshops in Athenry and Loughrea.
