Make 2026 the year you learn French

What if this year you decided to take up a new language, refresh your school French, or even avail of greater job opportunities? Would you like your children to get a head start in French or achieve a H1 in their Junior or Leaving Cert examinations? Then, the French Institute has a course for you.

The French Institute offers classes for all ages and all levels with qualified native French teachers, and are now enrolling for the new term, starting on the week of January 26 for teenagers and children, and February 9 for adults.

Focusing on conversational French, the Adult courses are designed to help students use the language at every stage of their learning, from beginner to advanced levels, mornings and evenings.

Secondary School students can receive school support from First Year to the Leaving Cycle on weekdays and on Saturdays. The French Institute prepare for the exams and the Oral in small groups, ensuring individual attention to improve their French skills in the best way possible.

A fun and engaging introduction to French is offered to children from four-years-old, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The best way to learn a language is to start early.

Last but not least, for adults, teenagers and children wishing to benefit from immersing themselves in the French language and culture, they propose different Language Programmes in Nice and Montpellier. Programmes include French classes, sports, cultural activities and excursions, with a choice of accommodation, including Homestays in a host family. The French Institute also organise traditional exchanges and “School in France”, which are flexible in terms of dates and duration.
