Fahy Travel has been named Best Touring Agent in Ireland for the second consecutive year at a prestigious awards ceremony held at the Clayton Burlington Hotel on Friday night. The honour is particularly meaningful to the Galway-based company, as the award is determined entirely by public vote.
Managing director Maura Fahy expressed her gratitude to customers for their continued support. “We would like to thank everyone who voted for us," she said. "We are honoured to be recognised alongside the top travel companies in Ireland, and it’s a real credit to our dedicated sales team.”
According to Fahy Travel, interest in experiential travel continues to grow, with strong demand for adventure holidays including cycling and hiking tours. The company has also expanded its range of “based trips,” where travellers stay in a single hotel and enjoy three or more guided day trips — an increasingly popular option with Irish clients who like to have some free time.
Maura Fahy recently returned from a Tastes and Sounds of the South tour, travelling from Nashville to New Orleans via Memphis and Natchez, and has also also visited Puglia, on her own holidays this year. It is one of Italy’s most sought-after regions. Adventure specialist Lynne has just completed a tour of Mexico, adding to her extensive experience alongisde her colleague Michelle Lyons across Costa Rica, South America, India, and China. Office manager Clodagh has also toured Japan, further strengthening the team’s first-hand knowledge.
With such a well-travelled staff, Fahy Travel is confident it has a tour to match every customer with their ideal holiday. For inquiries, call 091 594747.
