Over the course of a week, Michelle explored four distinct and breathtaking regions: Phuket, Elephant Hills, Khao Lak, and Bangkok. Here's a glimpse into her incredible adventure:
Phuket: Michelle kicked off her trip in style at the luxurious SALA Phuket Mai Khao Beach Resort (five-star ), staying in a stunning private pool suite. Located on the tranquil northwest coast of the island, the resort offers direct beach access and sweeping views of the Andaman Sea – the perfect start to her Thai escape.
Elephant Hills: Next, Michelle ventured into the heart of the jungle for a three-day/two-night safari experience at Elephant Hills, Thailand’s first luxury tented camp. Blending the feel of an African safari with the lush Thai rainforest, this was the highlight of her trip.
Here, Michelle had the rare opportunity to interact with Thailand’s gentle giants – feeding and spending time with the elephants in a responsible, ethical environment. Her stay also included a peaceful canoe safari down the Sok River and a jungle trek through Southern Thailand’s rich rainforest landscape.
Khao Lak: After her jungle adventure, Michelle returned to the coast for some well-deserved relaxation at the La Flora Resort (four-star ) in Khao Lak, just an hour’s drive from Phuket Airport. This laid-back beach haven was the ideal spot to unwind and soak up more of Thailand’s serene beauty.
Bangkok: The final stop on Michelle’s journey was Thailand’s vibrant capital. She stayed at the Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Bangkok Menam Riverside (four-star ), offering stunning views along the Chao Phraya River.
Her day began exploring Bangkok’s lively streets, bustling markets, and iconic temples. In the afternoon, she enjoyed a traditional longtail boat ride through the city's historic canals.
For a memorable farewell to Thailand, Michelle dined aboard the Banyan Tree Apsara, a beautifully restored vintage rice barge offering a fine-dining river cruise. With a four-course Thai menu and enchanting views, it was the perfect way to end her trip.
