Atlantic Technological University (ATU ) will host nine open days across its campuses commencing October 1 at ATU Mayo in Castlebar.
These open days will give prospective students the opportunity to explore the ATU campus, meet academic and support staff, and learn about the university's growing programme offerings. New degree programmes such as Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, and Veterinary Medicine and Surgery will be highlighted.
The first of nine open days will coincide with Mayo County Council's 'Jobs of the Future' event, which aims to highlight emerging career opportunities for graduates of ATU programmes. Visitors will attend sessions on degree programmes, explore future employment prospects, and gain an insight into student life.
Speaking ahead of the events the ATU Marketing Manager Fiona Kelly said that the ATU open days "allow prospective students to meet lecturers, support staff and current students, and to get clear, honest answers about programmes, accommodation and student life".
"Choosing where to study is one of the biggest decision a student will make, and no amount of online research can replace experiencing the campuses in person.
"We recently introduced new CAO programmes in Pharmacy and Physiotherapy, and we look forward to welcoming our first intake of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery students in September 2026. These Open Days provide an opportunity to explore our programme range and connect with the key people needed to make informed decisions," she explained.
ATU Open Days will continue across the university’s campuses across Galway, Mayo, Donegal, and Sligo throughout October and November. Each event will provide tailored opportunities to explore campus-specific programmes, facilities, and student supports.
