The 2025 festival runs from Tuesday, October 21, to Monday, October 27, and features comedic heavyweights including Rhod Gilbert, Dylan Moran, Deirdre O’Kane, Jack Dee, and Omid Djalili.
Liverpool comic Paul Smith has already sold-out his first gig Leisureland on October 23, with tickets still available for a second night on Friday, October 24.
Homegrown heavy hitters include Dylan Moran, Ireland’s Queen of Comedy Deirdre O’Kane, Andrew Maxwell, Al Porter, David McSavage and Barry Murphy are on the card. Rising Irish comedy stars Emma Doran, Rachel Galvo and Galway’s own Aoife Dunne will also appear.
Shows will be held in 16 venues across the city and county, hosting 70 artists, including the recently closed Pálás cinema.
"As part of our festival, we plan to turn Pálás Cinema into one of the finest comedy venues in Ireland," says festival director Kevin Healy. "We are very excited and grateful that Galway City Council are giving us a chance to breathe new life into the space. We're there for a good time, not a long time!”
