Doors open at 7pm, with limited, unreserved seating available.

The concert will also be a gathering point for more than forty friends, family, and supporters travelling with the group, underscoring the band’s strong ties between Ireland and the Boston Irish community.

Firmly rooted in both the Connemara and the Boston music scenes, the line-up features Michael McDonagh on drums, percussion, and vocals; Johnny Coe on guitar, vocals, and bodhrán; Wynter Pingel on fiddle and concertina; Stuart Peak on banjo, whistle, and vocals; and Stephen Devaney on button accordion.

Their performances draw on both traditional and contemporary influences, reflecting Irish heritage while incorporating American musical perspectives.

Connacht’s set includes a mix of well-known and original material, such as Westport Set, Galway Girl, Connachtman’s Jigs, Back Home in Derry, and Auntie Nora’s Set.

The band members bring deep experience and varied musical backgrounds to the stage. Hailing from a family of musicians, Michael McDonagh has been performing since his youth in Boston dance halls.

With roots in Galway, Johnny Coe has long been part of the Boston folk and rock scenes and is also a respected bodhrán player.

Wisconsin native, Wynter Pingel, is a Berklee College of Music graduate, and a senior champion on concertina at the Mid-Atlantic Fleadh.

Multi-instrumentalist, Stuart Peak, is recognised as one of New England’s leading Irish musicians and an accomplished teacher.

Originally from Connemara, Stephen Devaney learned his craft within family and community traditions before relocating to Boston in 1989.

Do not miss this opportunity to see one of Boston’s leading trad bands on tour in the West, on Sunday, September 28, with doors at 7pm.
