Known for their combination of traditional Irish music with elements of jazz, post-rock and cinematic sounds, NOTIFY features six of Ireland’s accomplished musicians.

The band includes Pádraig Rynne on concertina, Tara Breen on fiddle, Davie Ryan on drums and percussion, Adam Taylor on bass, Rory McCarthy on piano and Fender Rhodes and Hugh Dillon on guitars.

Since forming in 2013, NOTIFY has released four albums and an EP. Their debut release reached No. 20 on the iTunes World Music Charts, while their 2016 follow-up reached No. 1 on the iTunes Jazz Charts and entered the mainstream Top 10.

Their latest album, Airneán, has received critical recognition. It was named the Irish Times’ No. 1 Traditional Album of the Year and featured on RTÉ Radio One’s ‘Recommended’ playlist.

The album’s title refers to the Irish tradition of night visiting, and the music reflects that theme through flowing arrangements and layered instrumentation.

NOTIFY’s performances move between delicate melodies and powerful instrumentals with a keen sense of place and tradition.

Support on the night is from How I Became A Wave, the solo project of indie folk artist Pat Carey, former vocalist and songwriter with The Hard Ground.

Tickets cost €25 from www.monroes.ie
