The Eyre Square venue, which operates a late bar licence seven nights a week, announced a new live schedule this week tailored for locals and tourists.

“We’ve always believed in the power of live music to bring people together,” said Shane McMahon, General Manager at The Skeff Bar & Kitchen. “Now, we’re doubling that experience. Two bands. Every night. No exceptions. We want to make The Skeff the place to be for anyone who loves great music and a vibrant late-night atmosphere.

“We have six distinct bars here in the Skeff and we are lucky to be able to offer a wide variety of experiences to our customers. Our live music offering is a cornerstone of our entertainment line-up”

The new entertainment schedule will showcase a broad mix of genres, reflecting the eclectic spirit of Galway’s music scene. From folk to funk, soul to indie, classic rock to contemporary hits, the nightly double-bill promises something for everyone.

The new music initiative is part of The Skeff’s broader commitment to revitalising Galway’s night-time economy post-pandemic, and offering consistent, high-quality entertainment that puts the customer experience first.

“Galway deserves a venue that treats every night like a Saturday,” says McMahon. “Whether you’re here for a casual pint, celebrating with friends, or just looking for a great night out, The Skeff will deliver. We’re raising the bar for live music – quite literally.”

Whether it is a Monday wind-down, a midweek sing-along, or a Saturday blow-out, the new line-up guarantees that every night at The Skeff is an occasion.

In keeping with The Skeff’s longstanding commitment to supporting Irish artists, the expanded line-up will feature a rotating roster of local musicians and bands, alongside special guests and touring acts.

“This is a huge opportunity for emerging artists to play on a city-centre stage in front of a diverse, music-loving crowd,” says the Skeff’s Patrick Guinnane. “Galway has an incredible pool of talent, and we’re thrilled to give them a platform 365 days a year.”

Musicians interested in performing as part of the new schedule can reach out directly via www.theskeff.ie or through the venue’s social media channels.
