Qween will rock Headfest

The town of Headford is gearing up for stellar June Bank Holiday weekend of music, with Headfest 2025 only one week away.

Kicking off the festivities on Thursday, May 29, is Elevate, a showcase dedicated to emerging young talent from the area, giving a platform to the next generation of performers.

On Friday, May 30, the energy will be ramped up with local favourites The Blarneys and The Danny Byrne Band, promising a great night of lively folk and rock.

Saturday night is shaping up to be a showstopper on May 31, as Qween bring their killer Queen tribute set to Headfest, guaranteed to rock you, alongside local rock band Tallon.

On Sunday, June 1, the curtain comes down in style with Tradstone, whose blend of trad and rock always gets the crowd moving. They’re followed by headline act Mundy, bringing hits like ‘July’ and ‘Galway Girl’ to the Headfest stage.

Beyond the music, the weekend offers something for everyone. There’s a packed schedule of sporting events, a vibrant craft and farmers’ market, and a variety of community activities. For families, there are interactive theatre shows for babies and young children across the weekend, and Monday rounds things off with a fun-filled family variety show.

The music takes place in Monaghan’s Mega Marquee at Moyne Villa Soccer Club.

Tickets are on sale via Eventbrite and from Monaghan’s Centra. Full details at www.headfest.ie
