The 'Love Your City' series of storytelling will be in Monroe's on Thursday night

Monroe’s Live will host a storytelling event tonight, Thursday, April 24, celebrating Galway through the power of its tales.

Seanchoíche, the popular storytelling platform founded in Dublin, brings its special My Love For Galway edition to the venue as part of its ‘Love Your City’ series.

With its roots in Dublin and branches across London, Amsterdam, Sydney, Melbourne, Belfast, Limerick, and beyond, Seanchoíche has created a global community grounded in local stories. These are tales told by ordinary people with extraordinary experiences.

Doors open at 7.30pm for this fully seated event, where audiences will be treated to a night of spoken stories that reflect the spirit, humour, heartache, and heritage of Galway.

Whether it's a cherished memory, a poetic nod, a fictional yarn or a tribute to the characters of the city, the stage will be a space for every voice and every version.

The theme, tested in cities like Cork, Dublin, and New York, now finds its way to Galway, inviting locals and visitors alike to reflect on what the city means to them.

From personal anecdotes to old wives’ tales, monologues to myths, Seanchoíche invites stories that honour our sense of place.
