Gardaí in Galway are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the assault of a woman in her 20s in Ballybrit, Galway at approximately 5:30am on Tuesday, February 11.
The woman was taken to University Hospital Galway for "non-life-threatening injures".
Investigations by the Gardaí are "ongoing" and the authorities have appealed for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
Those with camera footage (including motorists with dash-cam and cyclists with helmet cams ), who were in the Monivea Road or Ballybane More areas in close proximity to Ballybrit Heights, between 5.15am and 5.45am, are asked to provide it to investigating Gardaí.
