Man assaults a women

in Salthill

Gardaí in Salthill are looking for witnesses to an assault which occurred at approximately 12:00pm on Tuesday, January 9 on the Promenade, Salthill across from the Galway Bay Hotel.

The male had two dogs with him, and reportedly punched a woman in the stomach as she was walking.

He is described as being 6ft 2’ with shoulder length hair wearing glasses and a light grey jacket.

Quad bikes to the value of €25,000 stolen in Loughrea

Gardaí in Loughrea are investigating a burglary which occurred at Spellman Fabrication and Plant commercial garage Kilreekill, between Friday January 12 and Monday January 15.

It has been reported that two Quad bikes were stolen to the value of approximately €25,000.

Gardaí are looking to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time and who may have noticed any suspicious activity to contact Gardaí in Loughrea on 091 842870 or the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111. Gardaí are asking the public to be vigilant if offered Quad bikes for sale.

Jewellery stolen in Athenry burglary

Gardaí in Athenry are looking for any witnesses to a burglary which occurred at a residence in Knockatogher, Kiltullagh on Wednesday January 10 between 2pm and 9pm.

The homeowner returned to their home and discovered their house was ransacked and some jewellery was taken.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses who may have been in the area and noticed suspicious activity or any persons with any information are asked to please contact Gardaí in Galway on 091 538000.

Home ransacked in a burglary in Ballinasloe

Gardaí in Ballinasloe are looking for assistance in the investigation of a burglary which occurred sometime between Wednesday January 10 and Thursday January 11 in the Ballymacward area of Ballinasloe.

It was reported that the front door of the premises was forced open and the home was ransacked.

Gardaí are asking for assistance or witnesses to any suspicious activity in the area to call Gardaí in Ballinasloe Garda Station on (090 ) 9631890 or any Garda Station.

Dunmore house burgled

On Thursday January 11 between 4pm and 6pm a burglary occurred in the Garrafrauns area of Dunmore.

The homeowner returned to their rooms ransacked. Gardaí are asking for witnesses who may have observed suspicious persons in the area or persons with any information are asked to contact Gardaí at Tuam Garda Station on (093 ) 70840.

Theft from vehicle in Galway Shopping Centre car park

Gardaí in Galway are investigating theft from a vehicle which occurred on Friday January 12, shortly after midday in the car park of the Galway Shopping Centre, Headford Road.

It is reported that the owner of a Silver Toyota returned to their vehicle where the passenger window was smashed and a sum of money was taken.
