Caiseal Geal Care Home has been providing kind and compassionate care to the elderly community of Galway city and surrounding areas over the past number of years.

The current state-of-the-art, purpose-built centre was opened in 2016 and boasts magnificent views of Galway city from its location in Castlegar. Its close proximity to Galway city makes planning excursions effortless and ensures there are plenty of possibilities for treating your loved ones to a day out, with ease.

The team at Caiseal Geal understand how difficult the transition from home to care home is, but they aim to make it as seamless as possible. They encourage all residents and their loved ones to personalise their room while the nurses personalise their care.

The team provide a holistic approach to all aspects of your loved one’s care and ensure that their stay is meaningful and fulfilling. The team at Caiseal Geal know, now more than ever, the importance of family and friend visits within the care home setting and we strive to maintain normality during all eventualities.

They understand that family involvement and support is central to a contented and fulfilled stay within a care home. The director of nursing, Claire Orchard, leads her team of nurses, care assistants, activities coordinators, administrative staff, chefs and household staff in the provision of holistic, meaningful care.

From assistance with personal care and mobility needs to socialising and enhancing quality of life, Caiseal Geal provides a service that is supportive and inclusive.

One resident stated: "I wish to thank you all sincerely for my stay with you and the wonderful help and kindness from the office staff, kitchen staff, the wonderful carers, the staff nurses, the dining room staff and laundry and the boys who kept everywhere clean and shining bright. Thank you all for taking such care of me during my stay. God bless you all."
