Winning the senior All Ireland fiddle championship as a teenager marked the beginning of a remarkable career, culminating in the awarding of the Gradam Ceoil TG4 Composer of the Year in 2023.
Ciara Brennan, a multi-talented artist from Dublin, brings her prowess in violin, vocals, and lilting to the collaboration.
Her musical journey includes extensive touring with Comhaltas Ceolteori hEireann and performances alongside influential artists such as Michael McGoldrick, John Doyle, and John McCusker.
Chris Dawson, a self-taught multi-instrumentalist, enriches the ensemble with his expertise on Irish bouzouki, flutes, and other instruments.
His diverse background includes experiences in soul/funk bands and studio collaborations as he contributes a unique perspective to the traditional music they explore.
Together, they released their album Two, 3, Four and are opening their Irish tour in Monroe’s Live on a date that coincides with Maurice’s birthday.
Their repertoire spans Irish, Swedish, and Northern English folk traditions, reflecting a profound respect for each other's musicality.
