Songstress Gráinne Hunt will join Belfast’s Dave McKendry for an intimate performance at Monroe’s Live tonight, Thursday, October 19.

Beginning at 8pm, the duo will present original work as part of their ‘Songwriters in the Round’ Irish tour.

Gráinne's powerful voice blends huskiness with vulnerability, making her a standout among Ireland's female vocalists and songwriters. Comparisons have been drawn to Tracy Chapman, Natalie Merchant, and Dolores O'Riordan.

She has shared the stage with a plethora of top acts, most notably opening for Gladys Knight in Dublin.

Singer-songwriter Dave McKendry has been touring Europe extensively since 2016. From intimate solo shows to sold-out support tours, his early rock experience stems from a childhood in Belfast mired in political unrest.

“And I'm on the road with my phenomenally talented friend and colleague, Gráinne Hunt. We're in for a great, intimate night of songs and stories, with a few duets dotted throughout,” says McKendry who will play Monroes for the first time.
