John Folan from West Coast Insulation advised: “Insulation grants are still in place for homeowners who decide to upgrade their insulation. Insulated homes will save heat and money for many years to come. Good quality insulation keeps the house warm in winter and also keeps the heat out in the summer – meaning the house will be a more comfortable temperature all year round. The scheme to install upgraded insulation has increased the amounts involved to €3,250 for detached houses, €2,550 for semidetached, €2,050 for mid-terrace, and €1,550 for apartments. This usually covers a large percentage of the overall cost of the work, and the works can usually be completed in one working day.”

We also fit the insulating jackets and lids around the tanks, fit the heavy duty 19mm lagging on the pipes, and insulate and draught proof the attics doors to eliminate draughts.”
