The musical Christmas celebration will be hosted in the dramatic and majestic setting of the Galway Cathedral, and features vocalists and instrumentalists from Galway and beyond.

Led by conductor Stephen Carroll, Galway City Chamber Choir will perform a magical concert of traditional hymns, modern classics and a few seasonal surprises, all from the historic surrounds of the City of the Tribes - Galway City.

Stephen Carroll is a choral conductor from the Claddagh in Galway, and director of Claddagh Choral. He holds a Bachelors in Music from Maynooth University and is currently studying for a Masters in Choral Conducting from Cal State University, Los Angeles. Carroll has worked in Ireland and around the world facilitating choral music.

Nollaig Cois Coiribe is a contemporary choral concert filmed in Galway Cathedral, with stunning performances from Galway City Chamber Choir, as well as appearances from Galway City Children’s Choir and Dublin Brass Ensemble. The concert includes music from Irish composers and international composers alike.

Galway City Chamber Choir began in 2019, but has gone from strength to strength since then. The choir comprises choral singers who are based in Galway but who come from all walks of life, and many cultural backgrounds. The ensemble has performed locally, nationally and internationally, and recently they performed at Julian Benson’s Winter Wonderland Gala Ball.
