Book now for Maoin Cheoil na Gaillimhe summer camps

Maoin Cheoil na Gaillimhe summer camps will take place in Scoil Bhride, Shantalla, next month with a great choice of camps for all ages.

The music school is currently accepting bookings for three camps running in July.

String orchestra camp

The string orchestra camp includes five days of fun filled activities including theory based learning using the Kodaly method, sectional and full rehearsals, all aiming towards a performance at the end of the week. As the school runs both a senior and beginner camp, this camp is perfect for all ages.

Maoin Cheoil na Gaillimhe works with professionals to help participants respond to the music in a way that they perhaps cannot do with words.

The beginners' camp takes place from July 11 to 15, from 10am to 2pm daily. The intermediate/advanced camp runs from July 4 to 8, from 10am to 3pm.

Colourstrings camp

This is a very popular course with the school each year, suitable for young children ages four to six. Teachers incorporate the Colourstrings lesson in a world of games and creativity, and create a unique story that develops over the week leading to a performance on the final day.

The camp explore ideas such as singing, games, and crafting simple instruments that become a part of the musical journey.

The Colourstrings camp runs from July 4 to 8, from 10am to 2pm.

Be a Star camp

This performing arts camp is designed for children aged seven to 12 who have an interest in all things performing arts. Activities Include music, singing, acting, and dancing. While the camp is not specifically aimed at children with prior experience, all of the activities are well delivered to ensure children of all abilities can learn and have fun.

Be a Star runs from July 11 to 15, from 10am to 3pm daily.
