The Heineken Big Top returns to Galway International Arts Festival

The team at Galway International Arts Festival are delighted that live music will once again return to Fisheries field this July when artists take to the stage of the Heineken® Big Top.

The stellar line up, presented by Galway International Arts Festival and Róisín Dubh will feature a wealth of Irish and International Artists.

The Heineken® Big Top 2022 will kick off with Pixies taking to the stage on 14th and 15th July and continue over the next 10 days with Jon Hopkins, The Stunning, The Academic, The Flaming Lips, The Frames, coming to a rousing conclusion on 24th July with Sinéad O’Connor.

Galway International Arts Festival are delighted that Heineken® will once again sponsor the Big Top, a much loved part of the annual festival.

July 14-15 – Pixies

One of the most influential bands of the last thirty years, rock legends Pixies make their Galway International Arts Festival debut for two special nights.

July 16 Jon Hopkins

The Mercury Prize and Grammy Award nominated musician Jon Hopkins will bring his startlingly unique blend of electronic, ambient and classical music to audiences in Galway on 16th July.

July 17 – The Stunning

Audiences can look forward to classics like ‘Brewing up a Storm’, ‘Heads are Gonna Roll’ and ‘Half Past Two’ and new hits like 'Brighten Up My Life' when The Stunning return to GIAF 2022.

Special guests: Something Happens

July 21 – The Academic

One of Ireland's most exciting live acts, The Academic are known for addictive pop hits like 'Bear Claws', 'Fake ID' and 'Superlike' and will bring their magic to Galway in July.

July 22 - The Flaming Lips

Their GIAF18 gig was one of the most talked about in GIAF history. On 22nd July the six-time Grammy nominated Flaming Lips make their triumphant return to the Heineken® Big Top.

July 23 – The Frames

One of Ireland’s most successful music acts of their generation, The Frames, will play their only upcoming Irish date for the rest of 2022 on 23rd July in Galway.

July 24 – Sinéad O’Connor

The visionary and uncompromising artist behind the early new wave explosion of ‘Mandinka’ and the multi–platinum soul of Prince’s ‘Nothing Compares 2 You’, the inimitable singer-songwriter Sinéad O’Connor will bring theHeineken® Big Top 2022 to a stunning conclusion on 24th July.
