Galway Roscommon Education and Training Board (GRETB ) offers a wide range of free programmes across Galway and Roscommon for people fleeing the war in Ukraine. GRETB provide classes in English language, job seeking skills including CV preparation, IT skills, and a range of full and part-time courses to develop and prepare for work in Ireland.
An opportunity to meet with a professional guidance counsellor is available for those wishing to explore education and training needs available, including assistance with curriculum vitae, interview skills, and qualification recognition for various careers.
For people interested in attending a third-level college, GRETB Guidance and Information Services can provide advice on available courses, pathways, including how to apply, and can assist in contacting the appropriate colleges.
GRETB also runs community education classes for adults in a range of activities such as art, yoga, gardening, craft, and many other options. These classes offer people the opportunity to gain skills and confidence in a relaxed environment while also providing a chance to meet people within their local community.
GRETB Youth Services can provide links with local youth organisations (young people aged 10 to 24 years ) which provide out of school programmes within Galway and Roscommon.
