Safety measures for Dublin Road junction in Tuam

Proposed works will involve footpaths and adjusting railings to make the junction

The Galway County Council is proposing to carry out works on the Dublin Road at the junction with the Purcell Stockwell Road in Tuam.

The junction is subject to high levels of vehicles and pedestrians at school drop off and pick up times. The proposed works will involve footpaths and adjusting railings to make the junction and general area safe.

Independent Galway East TD, Sean Canney has welcomed the proposed works, and said that “safety is a priority, especially with young children trying to access the schools”.
