Welcoming this year’s awards, Mary Considine, CEO, Shannon Group said a lot has changed in the business environment over the course of the last 18 months. “Issues like accessibility and inclusion, being good employers, innovation and sustainability are becoming increasingly important to businesses, their staff and their customers. These are some of the topics that are energising corporate culture at present.

“That’s why it is important they are reflected in these awards, providing an opportunity to recognise those who are making strides in these areas. As the main award sponsor, Shannon Group are delighted to once again support Galway Chamber and honor the innovation, talent and inclusive spirit among the Galway business community,” she said.

Her remarks were echoed by Galway Chamber President Aengus Burns who said the extended range of award categories mean there are even more choices to suit every type and size of business.

“We wanted this year’s awards to illustrate how the focus of the Galway business community continues to evolve and also to provide a platform for those who are making an extra effort to put accessibility, inclusivity, sustainability and innovation at the core of their businesses.

“It gives the many fantastic companies operating across Galway the opportunity to showcase the tremendous work they have done over the last year and for the excellence of these businesses to be recognised,” he said.
