Let City Hall help you to get on the register to vote

The final day for voters to be added to the Supplemental Register is Monday and City Hall will be open on Saturday and Monday, to help people make sure they can vote.

In attendance in the reception area of the city council will be a member of the gardaí and a council official. People can go up to the City Hall on council on either of these two days from 9am to 4pm to register as long as they are living in Ireland and have photo ID to present.

The initiative has been welcomed by Independent councillor Catherine Connolly who is encouraging the public to use the opportunity to register.

“It is vitally important that people make their voices heard and vote on June 5 in both the Local and European elections,” she said. “The decisions we make in these elections will determine the future direction of this country
