NewDad - debut EP, Róisin Dubh show

Exciting Galway indie quartet take their next step forward

FOLLOWING THE release of their debut EP, Galway indie quartet NewDad have announced a series of Irish shows in November.

The band - Julie Dawson, Áindle O’Beirn, Sean O’Dowd, Fiachra Parslow - will play Belfast, Dublin, and Galway. The Galway show will be in the Róisín Dubh on Wednesday November 10.

NewDad emerged at the beginning of last year, self-releasing the tracks ‘‘How’, ‘Swimming’, and ‘Cry’. Since then they have been streamed nearly two million times on Spotify alone.

The singles ‘Blue’, ‘I Don’t Recognise You’, and ‘Slowly’, also caught the attention of influential taste-makers in Britain. The songs were added to the A list at BBC 6 Music, and the band did a session for Steve Lamacq. They have also been played by Annie Mac on her Radio 1 Future Sounds show, while Jack Saunders interviewed the band on his BBC Radio 1 Show.

The band’s debut EP, Waves, was released via Fair Youth Records, and contains the singles ‘I Don’t Recognise You’, ‘Slowly’, and ‘Blue’, along with ‘Hide’ and ‘Waves’.
