Grow Remote announces new “Get Remote Ready” programme

In response to both the current situation and the future remote working opportunity, Grow Remote in collaboration with LOETB, IDA Ireland and SOLAS has created a new online national training programme that will develop the capability and capacity of those wishing to become RemoteWorkers.

GrowRemote is a not for profit on a mission to enable us to work, live, and participate locally. They do this by making remote work both visible and accessible.

In response to the latest lock down measures, the course is open for applications for a fully funded, online course in remote work.

The sessions help candidates get the basics in remote work as a skill, hear from remote employers, and access a nationwide community of remote workers.

Grow Remote has already provided training to those who are unemployed to over 200 people.

‘Remote Work Ready’ is designed for unemployed and underemployed people hoping to transition to a remote working role and is fully funded. The programme is 100% online, available nationally and runs for between 7-14 weeks in duration. Anybody interested in applying can find all the information at https://www.fetchcourses.ie. and seraching for Skills to Compete - Remote Work Ready

John Evoy, who recently joined Grow Remote as the new General Manager said that working with partners LOETB, IDA Ireland and SOLAS, “the course comes at a critical time for those looking to access new skills across the country and resonates with our mission to make remote work accessible to everyone, everywhere.”

It is a great example of how working together, private, public and non-profit organisations can plan for the future of work in Ireland and help to future-proof our economy.

“The potential business benefits of Remote Working have been acknowledged for some time – enhancing the ability to attract and retain top talent, contributing to a more contented and productive team, and lowering the cost base.

Remote working can contribute to regional development through sustainable rural communities, while also addressing inclusion and diversity in workforces by removing some barriers to work.

It also offers companies and employees the opportunity to focus on output rather than attendance, while building resilience and business continuity. There are currently over 200 locationless jobs open for applications which can accessed through the Grow Remote job’s board.

This is a 14 week fully funded programme – which will delivered fully online. The programme is comprised of two parts: Newly developed programme by Grow Remote.
