Galway site with planning for 61 houses up for sale

A site with planning permission for 61 houses in Moycullen has been placed on the market for €2.7million.

The 14.45 acre site just outside of Galway city was granted by the Galway County Council on March 26 2018 for a scheme of 61 houses comprising a mix of detached, semi-detached, and terraced housing.

Nicky Conneely of Savills who are guiding the site said it represents a wonderful opportunity to acquire a site ripe for residential development in an area close to Galway city.

"The site's location provides the best of both worlds for work and leisure, with Galway city only 12km away, and the stunning and rugged Connemara landscape right on its doorstep.

"It benefits from direct bus services to Galway city centre with Bus Eireann and City Link. The town has an established road network with the main Clifden Road N59 providing direct access into Galway city centre approximately 800m from the subject property. Connectivity to the M6 to Dublin and M18 to Limerick is due to be greatly improved by the Galway bypass, which is proceeding through the planning stage.

"Moycullen town hosts large volumes of tourists and visitors passing through Connemara or travelling the Wild Atlantic Way. Amenities in the town include schools, community and sporting facilities, supermarkets, and hotels. There are numerous restaurants, cafes and bars catering to many visitors travelling to and from Galway city, as well as locals."
