Penny Wentworth @ Monroe’s

THERE IS an old expression which goes, “every penny that went towards it was worth it” and it is the source of the name of Nenagh band Penny Wentworth.

Penny Wentworth play Monroe’s Backstage Bar this Bank Holiday Sunday at 10pm. The music draws on a wide variety of influences from The Doors to Native American chant to classic pop. They sing in English and also as Gaeilge.

Dan Trayers and The Lakers will play Monroe’s Live from midnight.
