A reformed Fun Lovin’ Criminals return to Monroe’s Live on Friday, December 5, with doors open at 8pm.
Formed in New York City in 1993, the band has spent more than three decades developing their own vibrant mix of rap-rock for a global audience.
Their early success was defined by iconic songs, including ‘Scooby Snacks’, ‘Love Unlimited’, ‘Loco’ and ‘King Of New York’.
They became one of the era’s most recognisable acts, gaining world renown across six highly acclaimed albums, and two EPs.
The line-up was originally made up of Huey Morgan, Brian Leiser and Steve Borgovini, and together they went on to sell more than 10 million records.
Today, the group is still led by founding member, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Brian ‘Fast’ Leiser, alongside drummer and producer Frank Benbini and guitarist Naim Cortazzi.
Together they have completed their seventh album, A Matter of Time, recorded with Grammy-winning engineer Tim Latham, released this summer.
This long-awaited studio album marks their first full-length release in 15 years, and is a return to their gritty roots, with elements of rock, hip-hop, and soul. It is both personal and introspective and follows two EPs: The Roosevelt Sessions and The Capistrano Sessions.
The album marks a new chapter for the band, and their performances continue to draw audiences with new material and long-standing fan favourites.
