Swingin’ Christmas in Salthill

Salthill native Aoife Mulholland returns home to perform big band Christmas classics from Hollywood to Las Vegas with the The Niall Kinsella Orchestra, in Leisureland, on Friday, December 12, at 7.30pm.

Aoife Mulholland shot to fame as one of the contestants in the hit BBC TV show How do you solve a problem like Maria? on Andrew Lloyd Webber’s search for the star of The Sound of Music in London.

She will perform alongside Britain’s Swing-era vocalist Matt Ford, a veteran of more than 2,000 Big Band concerts.

The playlist includes ‘White Christmas’, ‘Santa Baby’, ‘Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire’, ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’, ‘Sleigh Ride’, ‘Winter Wonderland’, and many more Christmas crackers.

Aoife and Matt are joined by award-winning Irish barbershop quartet 4 in a Bar, and dynamic Irish conductor Niall Kinsella, creator of the sold-out concerts, The Sound of Rodgers & Hammerstein (2023 ), The Sound of Hollywood: The Best of MGM Musicals (2024 ), and Get Happy! The Judy Garland Songbook (2025 ), and the brassy sounds of The Niall Kinsella Orchestra.

Tickets cost €25, with concessions €20, and a family ticket for €80. Doors open at 6.30pm and seating is unreserved.
