Music for Galway’s Season BREATHE continues with Dragonfly, featuring two internationally acclaimed musicians: viola player Danusha Waskiewicz and Headford cellist Naomi Berrill.
The strings players are also vocalists, and they will perform at a venue which is a first for Music for Galway: Ballinfoile Castlegar Neighbourhood Centre on November 19, at 7.30 pm. The previous night, Tuesday, November 18, the two can be heard in Campbell’s Tavern, Headford, also at 7.30pm.
Waskiewicz and Berrill, performed the first time together as Dragonfly in 2021.
The duo performs original compositions and innovative arrangements of classical and baroque composers, singing as they play. The programme includes music by Bach, Dowland, Britten, Bartók and traditional Irish melodies.
