The tour coincides with the release of Cullen’s forthcoming album by the same name, City Soundscapes, which is due out this Friday, September 19. He plays Monroe’s Live next Friday, with doors at 7.30pm.

The record marks a new chapter in his career following his debut album ‘Sing My Story, Tell My Song’ and his EP, Tiny.

His music has been featured on BBC Scotland, RTÉ Radio One, and Today FM. He has also performed on RTÉ’s The Late Late Show and supported artists including Mundy, Eddi Reader, Brian Kennedy, and Bry.

His sound brings together intricate rhythms and textured guitar work, drawing inspiration from Dave Grohl, Ben Folds, and The Beatles.

Cullen released his first album at the age of fifteen and has continued to develop his songwriting through both ballads and energetic indie-rock numbers.

City Soundscapes is expected to showcase this range, bringing together personal storytelling with wider cultural themes. For example, his single ‘Young Men’, explores themes around toxic masculinity. He has spoken about how his experiences in all-boys schools shaped his view of so-called “lad culture” and his feelings of being an outsider in those environments.

He has also expressed concern about the growing influence of figures such as Andrew Tate and Joe Rogan, describing how certain behaviours often conceal deeper struggles.

‘Young Men’ aims to address both the more negative aspects of masculine culture while also highlighting the vulnerability that often underpins them.
