Jazz night for Galway Hospice

The Martin Murray Foundation will present A Night of Jazz Legends, a spectacular musical evening on Sunday, May 25, from 7pm, at the Salthill Hotel.

This event will feature the magnificent 17-piece Moonlight Big Band and guests performing timeless classics from jazz icons such as Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé, Benny Goodman, and Glenn Miller.

This tribute concert honours the legacy of Martin Murray, a beloved Galway-born musician. Murray’s passion for music and gratitude for the care he received throughout his diagnosis led him to arrange a benefit night in May 2024 to support Cancer Services in Galway. Inspired by this, his friends and fellow musicians formed the Martin Murray Foundation following his passing from pancreatic cancer in June 2024, at the age of 34.

Proceeds from the evening will go to support Galway Hospice. Additionally, funds raised on the night will aid the Foundation’s mission to encourage and support young people in Galway to explore the fun and friendship to be found in learning music together.
