Soft Launch will make its Galway debut on Tuesday, May 13, at Monroe’s Live on Dominick Street.

The five-piece band with an Irish flavour is busy tearing up the rulebook on what it means to be a boyband after touring Europe.

Lead vocals rotate between Cavan’s Josh McClorey, formerly of The Strypes, Henry Pearce, Blessington’s Conor Price - who was part of a popular duo with his brother, Seán Price – alongside Ben Quinn, with Limmer holding the group’s Beach Boys-esque harmonies together.

Since the release of their debut single ‘Cartwheels’, they’ve been disrupting the pop landscape with a string of tracks that highlight their versatility and shared creativity.

The track was quickly followed by ‘Piano Hands’, ‘In My Bed’, and ‘Milkshakes’.

‘Cartwheels’ offered a first glimpse of their style, with soaring synths, intricate bass, and McClorey’s clean-cut vocal front and centre.

‘Piano Hands’ leaned into Baroque pop and millennial psychedelia, pulling on the strengths of each member to produce a sound reminiscent of Vampire Weekend or Tame Impala.

‘In My Bed’, mixed by Grammy-winning producer Spike Stent, twisted guitar pop into something uniquely theirs, with off-kilter harmonies and restless energy.

In just a year, they’ve played support to Blossoms and Two Door Cinema Club, sold out Oslo in Hackney, and made an appearance at BBC Introducing at The Lower Third.

October 2024 saw them headline a full British tour, having already played major European festivals such as Rock en Seine, Reading, Leeds, All Points East and Reeperbahn.

Along the way, they’ve picked up millions of streams, earned praise from industry giants like Elton John, and landed on Hotpress Magazine’s ‘Hot for 2025’ list.
