Galway Study Academy is Galway’s premier centre for academic excellence. Founded by Galway teacher and All-Ireland winning football coach Alan Glynn, the academy is driven by his mission to connect Galway’s top teachers with ambitious students. The goal is to create a focused, supportive environment where learners can thrive and achieve academic excellence.
A standout feature of the academy’s programme is its intensive Easter revision courses, designed to help students prepare effectively for the Junior and Leaving Cert. These high-impact, subject-specific sessions follow the “one day, one grade” approach, to deliver significant academic progress in just one day.
Junior Certificate courses run from Tuesday April 15 to Thursday April 17, and are great value at €45 for three hours of expert tuition. Leaving Certificate courses take place from Tuesday April 22 to Friday April 25, and cost €69 for four hours of tuition. Higher Level LC maths classes last 3.5 hours each for Paper I and II. All courses are held in the ideal learning environment of The Ardilaun Hotel, Taylor’s Hill.
In addition, Saturday Study is available weekly from 9.15am to 1pm, providing a quiet, distraction free space for focused learning.
Looking ahead to August 2025, Galway Study Academy will expand its offerings with weekly after-school and Saturday tuition for Leaving Cert, fifth year, and Junior Cert students. Offering a full range of subjects and convenient scheduling, the academy gives students and parents greater flexibility and choice than ever before.
