‘Summer Boy’ - Crescent Moon releases new single

The pandemic and a longing for a return to pre-Covid days inspires new song by Galway hip hopper

CRESCENT MOON, the Galway rapper and producer, releases his new single ‘Summer Boy’ on Thursday June 4, which also features Dublin rapper Conman Conrad and pop singer Viscose.

Crescent Moon produced the track, using chopped up samples before arranging the drums and composing the bass. Speaking about the song he says ‘Summer Boy’ is a "romantic and uplifting" single whcih "sets the mood for brighter days".

"It deals with the reality of a summer with Covid and contrasts normal plans for the summer with our current situation," he says. "There is a longing for a return to regular life but the message is that ultimately we must compromise and do what we can to get by with the people we care about.”

The Galwayman is inspired by Kanye West and Brockhampton. He is releasing a single every two months and is planning on releasing an EP next year. See Instagram.com/crescentmoonxmusic.
