Castlebar Mayor Cllr Eugene McCormack and his party colleague, Cllr Ger Deere have both stated this week they are confident the future of the Sacred Heart Hospital in Castlebar is secure with an announcement on enhanced facilities due to be made in the next few weeks.

This is an error solely of the Parkinson’s Association of Ireland, which sent the article to this publication without Ms Newman’s approval. The quotes should have been issued in the name of Una Anderson Ryan, director of the Parkinson’s Association of Ireland.

Grid West information centre opens in Castlebar

A new Grid West information centre has opened on Linenhall Street in Castlebar following the launch of the first phase of public consultation for the €240 million EirGrid project by An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny TD last week. The centre will be open every Monday and Tuesday, 9am to 5pm.
