Ballina Family Resource Centre is currently providing a facility for Mayo Cancer Support Association Outreach Services to run a support service in Ballina. This is available every Tuesday morning in Ballina FRC. This facility can be used by cancer patients and members of their family who have been affected by cancer. Why not drop in for a cup of tea in a confidential and relaxed environment and see what support services are available for you or your family members. This is a free, professional service in a specially designed suite within the centre, away from the hustle and bustle of the main facility. Irish Wheelchair Association church gate collections

The Irish Wheelchair Association, Mayo will be holding its annual church gate collections on June 17 in Newport, July 7 and 8 in Belmullet, September 15 and 16 in Westport, October 6 and 7 in Mulranny and Achill. Collections for the rest of the county will take place over the weekend of June 23 and 24.

Community to line-out for Ballyhaunis RFC

A team of local volunteers, club members and Ulster Bank employees will take over Ballyhaunis RFC this Saturday, June 16 as part of Ulster Bank Rugby Force – an initiative set up to encourage local communities to help improve their rugby club facilities. Ballyhaunis RFC was recently announced as winner of the ultimate rugby club support package worth €5,000.

Olympic-size swimming pool proposal for Castlebar
