Mayo based company Portwest, Europe’s leading manufacturer of personal protective clothing and equipment, is the first to market in Europe and America with a new revolutionary head protection product. The peak view translucent hard hat is an improved modern design on the traditional hard shell protective helmet that allows wearers maximum peripheral vision. It is perfect for companies which are seeking to improve their culture of health and safety.
The Peak View hard hat is manufactured from a new translucent high impact polycarbonate material which enables the wearer to see through the hard hat from any angle. This eliminates the need to head tilt or reverse head harnesses as visibility has been significantly improved. Peak View is also lightweight and is UV400 stabilised which offers protection against UVA and UVB radiation. This means that more than 99 percent of the sun's harmful radiation is kept away.
Portwest's Peak View hard hat has substantial benefits. It immediately offers wearers improved visibility in the workplace due to its translucence, comfort, and practical design features. In addition it is available in a wide range of translucent colours. This also allows employers or health and safety officers to introduce a colour coding system, which helps improve communication. The Peak View hard hat is fully certified to European Safety Standard EN 397.
"This product will appeal to industries where safety in the workplace and the comfort of its workforce are paramount. Personal protective equipment is the solution to reducing workplace accidents and fatalities. Revolutionary products such as Peak View are the next logical step for the personal protective equipment and workwear market,” says Ray Carney, product and supply director at Portwest. Portwest employs more than 2,000 staff worldwide and have offices in Ireland, UK, Poland, Germany, Dubai, China, Bangladesh, and USA.
