Tribute band Pearl Jem to play Garbo's

It is almost 25 years since the release of one of the greatest grunge albums of all time.

Entitled Ten, the album was released on the last day of August 1991 by globally renowned rock band, Pearl Jam. In order to celebrate this impending anniversary, Finbar Hoban Presents has just announced that one of Europe’s most recognised Pearl Jam tribute bands, Pearl Jem, will be coming to the Garbo’s venue in Castlebar on May 20.

Since releasing Ten back in 1991, Pearl Jam have gone on to sell almost 100 million albums worldwide and have secured a place in the hearts and minds of people globally, shaping and inspiring a whole generation of musicians.

As a means of celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the release of Ten, throughout 2016 Pearl Jem will be presenting a performance of the great album in its entirety across a series of concert venues throughout Ireland and beyond. To complement this, the band will play a selection of tracks taken from every album in the Pearl Jam catalogue right up to their most recent offering, Lightning Bolt.

Formed in 2006, Pearl Jem have gone from strength to strength, enjoying much success touring across Ireland, the UK and Europe, and capturing the raw energy, passion and emotion of the Seattle giants in their live performance. Gaining the hard earned respect of even the most hardcore fans of the real thing, this highly acclaimed group is now widely regarded as Europe's number one Pearl Jam tribute.

This is truly a must see show for all Pearl Jam fans out there. Tickets for the March 20 show will go on sale soon. For further information visit
