Galway ladies footballers qualify for league final

The Galway ladies footballers will face Cork in the Tesco National Football League division one final on May 9 after a comprehensive win over Dublin.

A 53rd-minute goal from Lynsey McKey was enough for hosts Galway WFC to see off Castlebar Celtic in their final game of the Continental Tyres WNL on Sunday in Eamonn Deacy Park.
An opening half saw some chances, but both defences where dominant. However an injury to an assistant referee after 30 minutes caused a lengthy delay in play, and after the game restarted, neither side could find the net before the break.
