Walshe, who was born in Galway but grew up in Massachesetts after her family emigrated when she was four, was one of four golfers who received of €20,000 from grants totaling €217,000 for 17 aspiring golfers. Walshe (24) recently declared she would represent Ireland in the Solheim Cup - women's golf version of the Ryder Cup.
